专利说明:
Log mat with stiffeningThe present invention relates to a log mat intended for heavier forest and soil treatment machines and formed by a plurality of laterally forcibly held logs or other carriageway-forming elements of wood material. Driving with heavy forest machines, excavators and other soil treatment machines in forests and land means that the ground is damaged by driving due to the progress of these heavy machines if they do not get stuck in a somewhat sunken hole or in another inaccessible place in the terrain. At watercourses and other ditches and level differences, it can also be difficult to cross. Known log mats do not always allow the desired spans to be achieved because they cannot withstand the load thereon on such occasions. There is thus a need for log mats that can withstand longer spans and that also do not become complicated and costly to manufacture. The main object of the present invention is therefore primarily to solve e.g. detovan said the problem easily, safely and cost-effectively. Said object is achieved by means of a log mat of the above-mentioned type which is mainly characterized in that between a number of said paired logs there are stiffening profiles formed by U-profiles or avI-profiles received, that said logs and said stiffening profiles extend in the intended log mats. intended direction of travel onthe log mat and which stiffening profiles consist ofmetal material. The invention is described below as a preferred embodiment, reference being made to the accompanying drawings, in whichFig. 1 shows a log mat according to the present invention seen from above,Fig. 2 shows in perspective the log mat obliquely from above and from the front,Fig. 3 shows the log mat seen from the side,Fig. 4 shows an exploded view of a sagda floor mat,Fig. 5 shows stiffening beams for the log mat and seen from the side, from above and from its end, Fig. 6 shows an enlarged cross-sectional view of the stiffening beam, andFig. 7 shows the log mat in operative driving and carrying position. A log mat 1, which is intended for such ascarry heavier forest and soil treatment machines 2,for example excavators, and formed by a plurality of laterally 3cohesively held logs 4, 41, 42, 43, 45 "or other lane-forming elements of wood material are according to the present invention stiffening in its lumbar direction 5. More specifically, stiffening profiles 6 are received between a number of said paired logs4-41, 41-42, 42- 43, 43-44 ... further, said logs 4-44 and stiffening profiles 6 extend in the intended longitudinal direction 5 of the intended log mat and the intended direction of travel 7 of the vehicles 2. The said stiffening profiles 6 consist of metal material. Said stiffening profiles 6 are formed by U-profiles or by I-profiles e.g. U-beams or I-beams and more specifically UPE-beams or IPE beamswhich with their parallel flanges 6A, 6B grip respectivelyedged log 4-44 on its upper and lower sides 4A, 4B and with its waist 6C abut between paired clamping logs 4-44 along at least middle portions 8 of provided log mat 1 and along at least half its length L. The said stiffening profiles 6 are preferably formed of bent sheet metal, which means that they are cheap to manufacture. The logs 4-44 and the stiffening profiles 6 are held together and clamped together by means of transverse threaded bolts and / or threaded rods 9 with washers 10 and nuts 11. Said connecting element 9; Such as bolts, threaded rods, washers and nuts are preferably evenly distributed along the length L of the logs, with equal distance A between them. Suitably the said logs are formed 4-44 square blocks with sawn straight edges I-IV around its circumference. As shown in drawings, see especially Fig. 4, the stiffening profiles 6 are arranged in groups 12, 13 and with their flanges 6A, 6B facing in common direction 14 and 15, respectively. In the case of an uneven number of logs 4-44 which are in a log mat 1, a center log 42 located between the webs 6C of paired profiles 6 with the ridges 16 of the two profiles 6 in the middle facing the adjacent log 42. The flanges 6A, 6B of the said stiffening profiles 6 suitably have such a width b that they extend substantially along half the respective stock width B. A log mat 1 thus screwed upsar at least such a width D that the wheels 17 or the belt onone side of a vehicle 2 in question seen in the vehicledirection of travel 7 has space to drive on said log mat 1, at least in pairs such log mats 1 being laid out laterally distributed as seen in the direction of travel 7 of the vehicle. The stiffening profiles 6 have such a length C that the log mat 1 is stiffened at least on its most exposed portion when it e.g. laid over a stream 18 or ditch between two edges 19, 20, i.e. at least half the length of the log mat L. The function and nature of the invention should have been clearly understood from the above and with knowledge even if it is shown in the drawings, but the invention is of course not limited to the embodiments described above and shown in the accompanying drawings. Modifications are possible, in particular as regards the nature of the deolic parts, or by using equivalent technology, without departing from the scope ofthe invention as defined in the claims.
